Default I went to clean my t.v. and made it worse.

I have had my t.v. for about 7 months now. I like it. Well the other day I touched it and now I can see my finger print on the screen. I went to best buy and got the little wet pads to clean it. The guy told me its for and tv. I went to clean it and made smeared it over 3/4 my tv. I dont know what to do now. Is there another product that somone can recommend for me.

I would not use the wipes....i would use a mircofiber cloth and screen cleaner i use it for everyhting and it works great....just be sure to wipe off a couple times to get rid of all the excess....

Do you have a plasma? if so just use the microfiber cloth, maybe a tiny bit of water or dishsoap diluted with water a 100 parts

Just thought I would mention that when you clean your screen , make sure It has been off for A while & is completely cooled off . Don't do it when it is on or warm . That will cause the cleaner to dry & smear .

Just my 2cts.

I have a LCD TV. All i did was get a towel (yes, a towel), and slightly dampened it, and gently rubbed the screen. It didnt leave any streaks and the screen looks just as good as it did when I first bought it.

Only clean the LCD screen when it is cool. Avoid cleaning the screen right after watching TV.

I think I cleaned it when the tv was on. Do you think I really damaged the screen.

I really doubt you messed your TV up. I would buy a cleaner made for LCD's. I bought a bottle of Monster Screencleaner when I purchased my DLP and it works great and last a long time. You spray it on the microfiber cloth and then wipe off the TV.

I cleaned my old TV (40" Sammy) with LCD cleaner and it completely ruined it. I had to file with WalMart (where product was sold) and they had to buy me a new TV. Left permanant smudges.

Bello makes a screen cleaner that is supposed to be superior to the Monster screen cleaner. The Bello cleaner comes with a microfiber cloth. It works great.
