United Kingdom Toy Story 1 & 2 REGION CODING...

would somebody mind confirming what it is, please. amazon.co.uk has is listed as Region 2 (or B!!!). somebody on the main news page stated that they are Region Free. 2 people I pm'ed gave me conflicting reports. one of them said they are Region B while the other said if you purchase them from play.com they are Region A/B/C. I dont quite understand why one store would have something different another, all within the same country. arent they supplied by the same company/distributor for Disney titles in the UK???

thanks...

Cause Amazon are incapable of posting the correct specs and usually cut and paste the DVD specifications.

Exactly. They will be the same for everywhere in the UK, just don't trust what Amazon's specs say. It's also worth noting that some discs will say they are only one region when in fact they are not. Disney I think always states what regions they are (ie if they are region-free they will have A, B and C region logos on them), but other studios may label a disc region a/b whatever when they are actually region free (Such as my US release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly which says region a but is actually region free). Some just do not state a region at all, like the Warner releases I've seen, which usually indicated they are region free.

The only way to know for sure is to check sites like this, or the above one linked, where people have actually tested them.

The enclosed DVD with these is probably PAL, correct? Also, is there any info on the extra content on the BD? Is it 480i or PAL?

Not sure about the BD, I would've thought it'd be HD.. if it's SD then I dont know, I would've thought the BD would be exactly the same content-wise as the US, I've not heard of Disney releasing BDs with special features content that wouldn't play on foreign players.

And yes the enclosed DVD unfortunately is always region locked, and so will be region 2 and PAL.

God region codes are a pain, I'm so glad I have an Oppo modified BDP which can handle pretty much anything I throw at it... and a TV which also handles PAL and NTSC for BDs

Default Toy Story/Toy Story 2

Hey guys,

I was looking to pick this up from Amazon UK.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toy-Story-Bl...726505&sr=8-16

Can someone please confirm if this is region free?

I do see that individually they are region free, not sure about the combo though!

I need it to be playable on a Region C player.

Thank you!

I've seen this set in store and it's just the two separate cases in one box so I presume they will be as the individual sets, I don't see why they would change it. Hope that helps!

kwokwchoy the combos will have the exact disks as released. So they will be region free like their single counterparts.
