Predator is Fox right? Shiz, I've never ever bothered to know what movie was made by which studio and now I have to know, search, learn...

Blu-ray Festival! I wish I would have known about this! I'm only about an hour from L.A. right now I would have taken the day off if I knew about it! Great news on Fox's part! Glad to see some news after yesterday's drought. Can't wait to see what else comes of the 'festival'!

Excellent news, if I was an HD-DVD fan I would be shaking in my pants and would try to spin this any way possible

OK. Does this mean that we will see a FOX release (or multiple FOX releases) in Q4 that takes advantage of BD-Live? Also, does this mean that the PS3 will have profile v1.2 available by the time the first BD-Live title is released?

That would be so awesome.

I know most people dog HD-DVD for actually having internet capabilities, but I think they're dogging it because they're jealous. I can only imagine the possibilities of this.

For example, how cool would it be to be watching, for example, Spiderman 3 on the day that Spiderman 4 is released in the theaters? Then, at the end of Spiderman 3, when the credits start to roll, a pop-up comes up and asks if you want to buy tickets online to see Spiderman 4. Enter in your credit card (or better yet, it uses the saved credit card information for the Playstation Store) and you're off to see Spidey 4. No lines.

How about up-to-date actor profiles? Online chats about the movie. Streamed video: This one would be cool to actually sit down with the director and watch the movie (of course they would be online live and not sitting in your living room). Man-oh-man. The possibilities.

I'd really like to see Michael Bay schedule a "watch the movie with the director" meeting via BD-live when Transformers comes to Blu-Ray. Perhaps have Megan Fox there. Or the guy that does Optimus Primes voice. How cool would that be?

How about combine seemless branching to customize the movie after downloading video clips. Customize Optimus Prime to say your son's name somewhere in the movie. Invite your son's friends over for a party and get birthday greetings from Tobey McGuire as Spiderman or Optimus Prime or Tow Mater & Lightning McQueen, etc.

I've brought this up before... would be a really nice feature.

I would say that Blu-ray could "transport" Megan Fox to your couch, but she seems to be a little too "crazy" for my taste...

Seriously though, here's hoping for "Firefly: The Complete Series" and "The Abyss"...

Cool A great price, a great trilogy!

On a side note: I just purchased the Spiderman Trilogy on Blu-Ray at an incredible price of $60.99 at Best Buy, in my neck of the woods. I was really impressed with the fact that the first thing you see when you enter the door is the display case for all formats.

Each film comes in its own case, for those who may be wondering. I am definitely looking forward to experiencing what so many critics and consumers are saying regarding the picture and sound quality. So don't hesitate and get out to Best Buy as soon as you can...
I hear ya! I pre-ordered my Spder-man trilogy from BB at the incredible price (and free shipping!) mentioned above and couldn't be happier! I can't wait for it to arrive in the mail!

Great news for us. Is it true though that some of the holiday titles that were suppose to come out Nov/Dec (I-Robot and ID4) have been pushed into January? They had these listed as coming out for the holidays and then I saw where they were annouced with the release of Sunshine (which I am going to get, wonderful movie).

Hoping that at least Predator, The Last of the Mohicans, Xmen 1/2, & Alien/Aliens will be among Fox's titles next year. Not holding my breathe for Star Wars, though I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
