Default Paradigm Signature Sub 25

Hello guys and possibly gals! Help n thoughts needed here. I was planning on upgrading my 7.2 HT setup to a 9.4 setup by adding an additional 2 subwoofers and 2 more speakers and also a new receiver the Denon AVR4810CI 9.3 . But my focus is the Subwoofers which I am going to eventually add wich I have not heard yet. I am looking at getting 2 Paradigm Signature sub 25's. I have experimented with 4 subs before with excellent and amazing results. I connected my 2 supercube references and 2 older Yamaha 10 inch 250 watt subs. The Defs handled the low bass and the Yamaha's handled the higher louder bass. It was phenomenal it filled the room with ease and at low levels and it seemed that the bass was produced effortlessly. But I am in an apartment for the 1st time in my life and can't go nuts with the sound, but I will be moving to a house shortly. If I add the Signature sub 25's combined with my SCREF's I think it will all be low end bass. I would prefer 4 identical subs but 4 signature 25's would be way too much, I can handle the upgrades and only 2 Signatures 25's right now. Has anyone heard them? I have only read reviews. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you thought about just adding 1 Signature SUB 2? I haven't seen the MSRP on that bad boy yet.

But seriously...2 SUB 25's? Are you going to hook them both up to 240v circuits? Please have us over afterwards...I drool at the thought of adding 2 SUB25's into my set-up. Can't imagine having a room big enough that wouldn't be immersed in bass at the bat of an eyelid with those monsters integrated.

You sir, are a bass fiend. I like you a lot.

I think depending on the size of the room 1 may be enough although a 2nd would definitely fill in any dead spots. There is also the Signature Sub 2 previously mentioned by doby...I believe that one is $7500 or so MSRP and requires a dedicated 240v outlet to achieve the max 9000 peak output which will probably destroy any good china you may have unless bolted down.

I would like to add 2 identical subs and at 7500 that is way out of the question even though my dealer would probably be able to give me a good discount it would still probably be way too much. I would not spend any more that 9,000 on subs brcause I still need to save some for my other upgrades. That signature sub 2 does have some pretty crazy and amazing specs though!

Well, the last thing you'll be doing if you add 2 @ SUB25 is thinking about upgrading, that much is guaranteed. 2 SUB25's will absolutely floor you and anyone else, no matter how much bass you've experienced to this point, especially with the 2 DT's still in the system. One roughly mid-point along each wall is what you're going with?

That is what I am going for, my last upgrades for years to come. My current system with my dual 1800 watt SCREF's and 4 Mythos STS with their built in 300 watt amps has a total of 4,800 watts of subs witch is pretty vicious and brutal in itself but i don't ever want to come up short on the low end. My last system lasted me 13 years before I Finlay upgraded and my old setup is still killer and very powerfull with a pioneer receiver that pushes 175 watts x4 that I just can't come to grips with to give it up. My goal is a 9.4 HT setup. I am not sure when I will get the signature 25's but so far that is what I have my heart set on. I have an upcoming deployment so I'm not sure if Ill get them before or after, but as soon as I do I will post pics.

Honestly, you could do the two Sub25's and sell the Supercube Refs. The Sub25's will give you a ridiculous amount of output...Its can be pretty hard/tricky to properly integrate different kinds of subs together. So yeah, get the dual sub25's and get them dedicated 220 lines.

Okay, the logistics of getting a 250V line run into where ever you live is simply getting a quote from a reputable electrician. Can you do that? That said, your electricity bill will go up.

Cool thing about Paradigms Signature Sub 25, from our perspective ;-), is that it runs where ever you go. i.e. OCONUS or CONUS.

They are not a high value product. You will pay to play with this level of luxury.

Have you considered Internet Direct companies and their great value? 4 x HSU-ULS or 2 x Elemental Designs A7-900? Both options are far less than a pair of Sub 25s.

and Why not a pair of Trinity Subs?
