Family Guy Volume 5. Got it when it was released I think early September. If that ever comes out on Blu I'll be mad.

Bought the Jungle Book 40th Anniv. Ed. for my son today, along Polar Express and Meet the Robinsons Blu-rays. Jungle Book will probably be my last DVD.

Used to buy 2 DVD's a week. That was over a year ago though, now I generally feel that i can wait for them to come out on Blu Ray. I haven't bought a regular DVD in months and the last one was all three Riddick movies for $10.

Of course, i now have a bunch of movies i want to replace with Blu Ray. Anyone have a recommendation on a good place to unload (at a decent price) my old DVDs?

there will be no last DVD purchase for me so long as Disney still release its movie to DVD and not to BD. Example: 101 Damlatians and Jungle Book, aristocats

Until people like Criterion and Eureka start releasing true classics and arthouse titles in BD, I don't think I'll be abandoning DVD.

Also, as long as the BD packaging is being treated as a gimmick, with a bunch of swooshes and whatnot, I'll be buying DVD. Of course, not in a case where I do have a choice -- but I kinda miss the classy level of DVD packaging with some of the BD-releasing studios. Fortunately, it seems Disney is abandoning the swoosh, even if Lionsgate is still stubborn. Warner are getting closer to the true classiness than anyone, with their releases of the HP and BR boxes.

But this is just cosmetic.

I suppose I'll be buying DVDs -- and selling off some of my collection, as it gets replaced by Blu-rays -- into 2009. By then, everyone that matters to me will hopefully be on board. And discs and their cases will look better than any DVD.

FIDO would have to be one of my last ones. eventhough it was lionsgate i dont see it coming to blu anytime soon which is sad because its one amazing zombie movie. If you like zombie movies or comedies i would check this one out.

I picked that up as well. At the same time I also got Dexter - Season 1. Those were my last DVD purchases but I can't say for sure that there won't be more. I'll probably buy the new Battlestar Galactica season when that comes out.

I hadn't purchased a DVD in years, but I recently purchased Transformers. That will likely be my last. I have purchased nearly 100 Blu-ray movies this year and am completely spoiled now.

Yeah, like giving a spider-monkey the reach around. (My altered version from Family Guy.)

My TransFUDers DVD was a gift, so that was my most recent. TransDUDers is the HD DVD version.

I am at the point where I REFUSE to buy DVD. But I do want Shrek 3. But that will have to show up under the Christmas tree. That should be my last.

Everthing else will just have to go blu before I buy it. <folds arms> I can wait.

now i appreciate fox and their efforts with bluray... but family guy vol. 5 was a complete rip off. a tard pack. 2 discs + 1 disc of extras... and it wasn't even the complete season... talk about raping your fans. i will never buy a family guy season again.

There are a zillion movies I would like to own that will not be on Blu-ray for awhile and are like 9.99$ on dvd. I still buy DVDs. I got over the BD eliteness and realized most dvds (some are wose than others) are just fine.

I will still be purchasing obscure horror movies that will be a very LONG time before they are released on blu if ever. otherwise, I will be all blu for the rest and if one of these obscure titles pops up on blu then I guess i will be getting that as well.
