Nice posters, although the second one is kind of hard to tie to Shrek.

I enjoyed the new trailer. But I'll probably wait for a rental nonetheless.

Shrek, as a franchise would be so much more endearing if they had left it alone after the first one. After that, it just got to be marred in cheap pop culture humor and no soul.

Those two words there wrap this movie up!

I have to agree. First one was different and had its funny moments but after that, started to go downhill faster and faster

I liked the first two, but three was bad, and I'm not even going to bother with this one (three at least looked decent from the trailers....)

I definitely prefered the first two movies over three, but I'll be seeing this anyway. Shrek 2 was my favorite so far, I barely remember the original it's been so long since I've seen it.

Shrek - Superb and kept the fairytale idea always in mind.
Shrek 2 - Maybe not as good as the first, but it took Shrek elsewhere and was still brilliant (and for quite a while was my favourite movie).
Shrek the Third - Certainley the weakest and until I watched it again recently couldn't understand why it was so hated, but it really isn't that bad.

Well I saw the previous 3 movies in the cinema, so I'm defiently going to see this one and it really does look like it has more purpose as a film than the third one.

I do remember reading a few sites saying there were going to be 5, but it sounds like they were either reffering to the Puss in Boots spin-off or Dreamworks decided during production of this movie to stop Shrek hear as all the children who saw the first Shrek movie when it came out have now grown up, ie. ME.

I think Shrek 3 is probably one of the worst sequels ever made. I took my little sister to go see it when I we were all living in Hawaii since the movie theater on Schofield had double features during the summer. I was like, "This is lame." It just felt like a rehash of the second film. Which is something I hate about sequels. For some odd reason it seems like the second film in a series might have no real connection to the first film. Then oddly a third film seems to connect right with the second film. It seemed like that on Rush Hour 3 as well.

Shrek 1 - 9/10
Shrek 2 - 9/10
Shrek 3 - 8.5/10
Rush Hour 1 - 7.5/10
Rush Hour 2 - 8.0/10
Rush Hour 3 - 5/10

I haven't seen the third Shrek but was looking forward to the fourth one. So far, even the crappy early reviewers are tearing Shrek 4 a new one, according to Rotten Tomatoes. I hope it turns out decent at least.

Shrek is heading down the same path as Ice Age. 1st one: Very funny and entertaining. The 2nd one: Also very funny and entertaining but a bit lacking. The 3rd one: Just not a good movie.

except it was Ice Age that followed Shrek

I think the 2nd Ice Age is the weakest, and Ice Age 3 is not as good either.

I'm wondering about opening weekend numbers.

I know the 2nd one opened up big and had a big 2nd week because it was Memorial Day Weekend. Can't remember the 3rd or when it opened.
