Default Which one?

Samsung HLT5076S 50" UltraSlim 1080p DLP HDTV -$1279.00
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HLT507...blurayforum-20

[This one was the one Best Buy had for $1599.00...so they are high on the price, to cover the DirectTV apparently]

Samsung HLT5087S 50" Slim LED Engine 1080p DLP HDTV - $1459.00
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HLT508...blurayforum-20

I am assuming the more expensive one is better? Which one would you buy?

This is what CNET thinks of the Samsung HL-T5087SAX (well this is a review for the model thats apparently identical in specs).

This is the review for the T50756S

I typically find CNET very informative and accurate.

Neither; I'd buy a plasma TV instead.

I would be more inclined to agree with richteer, rear projection tvs are nearing their lifes end. You don't even see tv commercials any more promoting them(remember the little girl and elephant, Its the mirrors)... that should tell you something. Personally I prefer LCD, but you can get a 50" plasma cheaper. Try the Panasonic TH-50PZ80U, its about $1500 on amazon.

Otherwise I would say the LED one, should have better blacks and color contrast.
