Default My New DYI custom speaker cables

Used Canare 4S11 Cable and braided the four 14 Gauge channels into two 11 gauge channels that I was able to get into some cable pants. I think they look great and I was very happy with them.

Way too fancy for my taste. I prefer everything to be look ghetto, but surprise when it comes to actual performance! Deters thieves.

Damn!!! You could probably make some serious buck selling those. Probably 3-4 times what it cost you to make.

I found them via ebay. He own a shop here in Flusing NY called SSV ( Synergy Sound & Video ) and if you call him or send a message he can
do a better price than he has on ebay. They even better in person, personally I think they are the best banana plugs I have ever seen for
the price.

Looks really nice, how did you braid the wires? If your interested, build an extra one and ship it to me I can measure it's resistance pf, it's total dielectric capacitance pf and total power loss in the lab at the UW.

I only braided the part that is in the cable pants. I did it before I put them on and its take a little time and patience to do it. I dont have any extra but once Im finnished with the last one I might consider that. Thank you very much.

Honestly they were not very cheap all three will end up at about $110-120 give or take.

Bananas and Cable pants $50
Speaker Wire $38 Shipped
Mesh for wire $29

But honestly they look even better in person and they are VERY flexible.

The Spanierd, you did an awesome job there. They look nice - I like them.
Where did you get the other stuff? I know you mentioned an ebay seller for the plugs.

Canare 4S11 Star Quad Speaker Cable : http://www.bluejeanscable.com
ViaBlue Braided Sleeve - Redline : http://www.av-outlet.com/
SSV Banana Plugs & Cable Sleeve's : http://cgi.ebay.com/SSV-Audio-BANANA...item3ca5bfee22

I actually picked up the banana plug locally in Flushing NY but you can get them via ebay. Remember to send an email first and ask for a deal of the amount you need cause he gave me a nice price.

The Sleeve comes in some great colors and also look at the cable splitters they offer they are fantastic but did not serve my purpose since I wanted to convert the four 14 Gauge channels into 2 11 Gauge channels.

The Canare cable is absolutly fantastic, super flexible, very easy to cut and overall great quality cable.

av-outlet.com has those cable splitters you mentioned but they are EXPENSIVE....like $9.99 each....and you need 2 per cable....to make them match.

I'm happy with cable pants (parts-express.com), heat-shrink or both.

Do those splitters serve a purpose other than splitting ? Look nice but at $10/each - I don't know.

TheSpanierd, could I contact you (via PM) regarding your speaker cables? I have a few questions.
