hey guys.. Well im looking to pick up a new camera since they have come aloooonng way since 5 yrs ago when I got mine, and I really like the idea of them having HD now for video.. So I usually dont like sony for cameras but their new PnS are VERY nice.. But im not sure if I want to spend $450+ after its all said and done.. So possible something hd , around $250 out the door .. I really like canon , and have always had good luck, so what do you guys think?
Heres the sony I wWANT but might pass unless it drops in price http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921666073335 |

If you want too, just to try it out, find a cheap 720p camera and shoot with that. And if you want to experiment with possible 3D, you can try this:
http://www.uproxx.com/feature/2010/0...r-300-or-less/ EDIT: I bought a Vivitar 810HD camera. It's 720p and this is the kicker about it, it runs on AAA batteries. I did a test on which batteries worked best and if you're in the U.S, you know the store I am talking about, Family Dollar. The Family Dollar brand batteries oddly worked the best with this camera. $5 + Tax gets you 12 batteries and these batteries can last a while on it. I tried Rayovac and those only lasted like 10 minutes. With the Vivitar 810HD, it can be found pretty cheap online, but in stores it might go for $100 which is what I paid for it back in August 2009. I got the extended two year warranty with it from Staples and it came out to $130 total for the camera. I also needed a SanDisk SDHC memory card and I got an 8 GB card which holds about 90 minutes of 720p footage on the card. These range in price, I got mine for $20 + tax. EDIT: Again, I am posting more. YOU WILL NEED GOOD LIGHTING WITH THE CAMERA. Some scenes look rough as hell on my movie, but I think it helps it in terms of the fear that is associated with the story. The lighting is what helps the image look the best with this camera. I cannot recommend a point and shoot for decent video + photos.
If you really want to do video + pics with HD recording then the T2i from Canon would be your best bet as a starting point. That's probably more that you want to spend though. |
