Default Garage loft HT suggestions

I'm getting married soon and moving into my girls house (bigger than mine). we plan on building a separate 2 car garage at the end of the driveway. i would like to have a home theater/poker room in the loft. i imagine a 6-8 seat HT with a separate area with a full size poker table, kitchenette and toilet. we would like the garage to match the style of the house (pic below). so we have plenty of room for this garage. my question is what size garage would it need to be to accommodate the HT. I just dont want it to be super cramped up there.

any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated

Default congrats!

Read the last page (or last few posts I guess) of my theater-build thread...... I (we) are going through the same thing right now..... except the city has deemed our garage a dump-hole, so we have to build a new one.... I'm just trying to get the HT part covered at the same time........

Best advice I could give you, would be to talk to contractors and an architect....

As far as design,

having an exterior staircase will save you room.....
Dormers add room
Stick construction gives much more headroom obviously.
if you want a bathroom in there, plan for it now.....
2x6 construction gives much more room for higher R-Value insulation

I like this 'type' of design..... with the exterior staircase etc..... it doesn't look like you have many obstacles when it comes to which way your roofline faces, or placement etc.... which will make life easy on you too.

EDIT:

and may I suggest

EDIT 2:

Awesome wrap-around porch !
