Default Why you started collecting and what was your first ever blu-ray SteelBook?

Hi guys,

Was wanting to find out from all my fellow members here when you all got into collecting steelbooks, why you started collecting and what was your first ever blu ray steelbook!

Me first:

The first blu ray steelbook I got my hands on was the District 9 HMV Exclusive back in December 09, and as soon as it turned up I fell in love with it and HAD to have more, and that's the reason I joined this site (which has cost me an absolute fortune but it's worth every penny )

My first was Terminator 2 Skynet Edition. Then there were Watchmen, Pulp Fiction, both Kill Bill volumes, Crank, Shoot Em Up, F&F Jumbo... and a downwards spiral into oblivion

My first steelbook purchase was actually Pinocchio,Sleeping Beauty, & Nightmare Before Christmas...after that I started reading more on this website, fell in love with the metal packaging & unique artwork, wasted all my money & became an addict.

My first SB was 'I Am Legend', FS edition a few years back. Bought it on ebay for $40 brand new. I had no idea it would be worth so much later on, otherwise Id've kept it sealed. Been collecting ever since.

There's a thread similar to this one, just so you know (https://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-mo...steelbook.html).

Unless you're compiling info to write a small history book. :P

A friend gave me the German IAL for my birthday. It spiralled out of control from there. I am now looking for a new friend.

Got into steelbooks with my purchase of FS Iron Man when it came out.

It hasn't been the same around my house since.

(less shelf space)

I promised myself that Pinocchio will be my only SteelBook. But I went ahead and got Snow White at BB. Thanks to LeAnn I'm in this mess.

Mine was The Hurt Locker. Went to BB to buy The Hurt Locker BR and saw the steelbook next to it. It was the last Steelbook they had, so I grabbed it. Since then, I have tried to get my hands on any USA Steelbook I could. In the process of getting all the Disney ones now and the MJ's This is it. Just bought all the Bonds too.

My first was the I Am Legend FS SteelBook on release day (18 Mar 2008). I started collecting SteelBooks because I love the improved artwork. This is still my only reason for collecting, which means I open all my copies to play and/or enjoy.
