Question Has anyone made their own DVD/Blu combo sets?

You've upgraded to blu, picked up a spare duel case and put the dvd in with blu.

Has anyone made their own DVD/Blu combos?

I havent but that is actually a really good idea. Considering that DVD's are now worth next to nothing I might think about doing that

This would actually save me space. My DVD copies of films are in the bedroom at the moment in a box. Any idea on where to pick up the duel cases within the UK?

That's exactly why I'm doing it!!! I have a collection of over 800 DVDs, so as I upgrade to Blu, I purchase some 2D BD cases and combine them. Works out perfectly, great space saver.

I live in the UK but unfortunately I dont know of a place where you could obtain a dual case. What I would do is put them in a little paper case, which is what I am going to do

That's a really good idea. I might start doing that as I replace movies.

I'm sure a lot of people have... I don't because I still like displaying my DVD cases too... The real question is... has anyone made their own BD/DVD flipper disc... eh eh... What the hell kind of question is that... I have no idea what I'm talking about

I've seen somewhere on the community pictures somebody made their own collection. I would start doing this but I just sell my DVD's at a store that actually buys DVD's.

I've thought of doing this. Now to get motivated enough to do it.

That is a great idea. As of now, when upgrading, I end up giving the DVD away. Not any more.

Yeah I have been doing this for a while now! When I first got into blu-ray I sold all my DVD versions on a garage sale, then I got smart and just started buying 2 disc cases. I search on the forums here, amazon, ebay and sleevetown.com for the best price for my needs with the extra cases!

I actually have been doing this myself, especially for family oriented movies that I might want to have the DVD for when my nephew stays with me and wants to watch a movie in the guest bedroom (he is 8). So far, the ones that have been coverted are the first Alvin and the Chipmunks, A Bug's Life, Cars, Enchanted, the first five Harry Potter films, the first two Ice Age movies, Meet The Robinsons, the first Night at the Museum, Ratatouille, and Wall-E. I wish I would have done this for the Narnia and Pirates of the Carribbean movies as well but I sold my old DVDs of them.

Another one that I have done is Watchmen for a different reason. I bought the DVD on Black Friday so I can have a copy of the theatrical cut as well as the director's cut and the ultimate cut. I put it in the case of the director's cut.

I sold 100+ dvd movies and a bunch of dvd TV shows to a friend. A neighbor gets some dvd's when I replace them with Blu's.
