I got it and well... I'm either using my PS3 or my 360 instead of the Wii.
The interface is clunky and much slower than the PS3 experience. Load times for movies are much longer than the PS3 or even 360. Video quality is decent but that may be due to the fact that the Wii can only do SD output and I am using the stock composite cables. I prefer the PS3 for the solid connection and better picture quality through HDMI even though the Ui is slower than the 360. |

I did try out the Netflix on the Wii again and found that there is a slider under the queue. This way you can slide through your Instant Queue and access a title faster. Quality was still lacking compared to the other game system options though. |

We got the streaming disc this week. Picture quality is not bad(using component cables) on the Plasma TV. The movie selection is not very good though. We don't have the WII connected to an AVR yet. Anyone know if we can get 5.1 sound through the streaming or just stereo?

I watched Phantasm on it, and for a 30 year old movie that looks terrible, it wasn't too bad. However, that's about the limit for me: old movies that are going to look bad no matter what. I don't think I'll end up using it too often. |

There are plans to have 5.1 audio on the PS3, XBox 360, and Netflix capable devices with an optical/coaxial connection. However, this was promised to arrive a few months after the Roku device first debuted. Even if Netflix went 5.1, the lack of a digital audio connection on the Wii would relegate it to the stereo signal anyway. Last edited by steve_dave; 05-16-2010 at 03:53 AM. |

owning a ps3 netflix disc as well, i thought it would be nice to see how the wii's version looked like. i actually like it. we all know its not high definition, but im pleasantly surprised at what it looked like on a 32inch telly. the interface looked quite sharp, the scrolling fast enough and didnt feel 'jumpy' as much as my ps3 version did due to my queue (i have a lot). loadings pretty much the same as the ps3's, if not, effortless. its not trying to send a HD signal so that might be a reason why i see it streaming a tad better. not bad, not bad at all for a free product. |

I have been using the 30 day free Netflix trial on the PS3, 360, and WII. I would say the ps3 definitely has the best picture quality but seems slow to load when browsing through movies. The 360 is decent, everything loads fast and has good quality. I think the WII has the best browsing features by far. It all loads extremely fast and is really user-friendly. So far my 30 day trial has gone really good. I've received 4 movies and sent them back with no problems. Getting on netflix.com and loading up the instant queue, then watching them through a console is really convenient.
