Beyond Hollywood Review

The actual title for this romantic action comedy is Chilgeup Gongmoowon which translates to 7th Grade Civil Servant. It was surprisingly entertaining film. Due to some poor reviews, I went into this film not expecting much, but found myself very entertained for 2 hours. I actually enjoyed this more than Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The PQ and AQ from German distributor Splendid is excellent. The only fault I found was that audio sync seemed just slightly, slightly off. The disc is region locked to B and there is no English subtitles.

Region coded to B
Video: 1080p24 VC-1 encoded 2.35:1 (excellent)
Audio: German or Korean dts HD MA 5.1
Subtitle: Optional German
Extras: Bunch of trailers for other Asian features in SD with German subtitles

I would heartily recommend this release if you understand Korean or German and can play back Region B Blu-rays.

So, it's a German release and not a South Korean release, since SK is Region A? Either way, I have no problem with German since Ich spreche so-so Deutsch.

EDIT: My mistake. I thought this was in the "Asia" section of Blu-ray releases. My mistake.

It's a German release. It's a shame that I have to buy these Korean films from elsewhere around the world because Blu-ray market in Korea is so small.
