Cant Find A PS3 Anywhere! - Blu-ray Forum

I have been to 3 BB, 3 Targets, 3 Walmarts and a couple of small time Electronics stores and I cant find one PS3 anywhere. They are all sold out!! Whats the deal here? Has the PS3 become so popular that the demand is just that high????

I was told that Sony is behind on production because of the demand. I knew that the PS3 was popular but wow. So I shall wait until May to land one but this is rediculous. So what is it guys? Is the PS3 that popular or is it just Sony is lagging behind on production like someone else told me?

Below is a thread where we've been discussing some of that. My local BB had some not long ago but they're out of them again. I can't remember the timeframe (for sure) in the thread but I think it was said the shortage should be over by May.

Have you tried Gamestop? Out here in LA area there are several at BB. My sisters b/f bought one this weekend.

I've seen plenty of them in my Target, Walmart, and Gamestop stores locally. Heck, even seen some in Sam's Club and Costco as well. Looking at Amazon right now as well, they have 120GB Slim with 42 new in stock, and 250GB Slim with 15 new in stock.
