Yeah the sony site has all the steps n directions u need. And always burn firmware on CDs! Sony came out with updates end of 09 if you had that, you should be good to watch Avatar. I'm thinkin this is just the beginning...there are so many here who don't frequent the forum as much as I and some others do that when they start havin troubles playin Avatar we're gonna be swamped with cries for help. Mayhap we should have a sticky for all members that sez pls chk ur bd player's manufacturer's website for firmware updates. Just an idea.

If you have 1GB or more of memory plugged into the Sony BDP-S350 player then just connect a Ethernet cable and have your player download and install the firmware automatically. This is the most reliable and fastest way to install the firmware update.

You can download a free program called ImgBurn:

http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

After you install the program, follow this guide to burn the image to the disc:

We had problems downloading for my Samsung, then read that you can call them, and they'll MAIL YOU A PRE-LOADED DISC FREE !?!?!?!? AAAARRRRGGGGHHH. Anyway, we called, ordered it, they're sending it, and will e mail me from now on whenever an update comes around.
Helluva lot simpler.
