Default Sin City audio hum

I recently got to view a friends copy of Sin City. We watched the Theatrical release, and for the majority of the movie, I could hear a faint hum (specifically during dialogue). To me, it sounded like a problem with the source, not his system.

I'm thinking about picking up the movie, but I was wondering if this hum is present on the recut version of the film (the one that is seperated into episodes).

Thanks

This has been well documented, going back to the theatrical and DVD days. It seems some speakers accentuate it more than others, but it is there on the blu-ray version as well.

As stated above, this issue is in the audio track (I've heard it on two seperate systems). I never got the chance to test out the Recut, Uncut, Extended edition though and am curious as to whether or not it is present in that version as well.
