Default Laptop to lcd tv

Hey guys,

I have a question. I wan't to hook up my laptop through hdmi to my 40 ˝ inch full hd sony bravia lcd tv, so I can watch my blu rays on my tv.

Now, before I do that, I wan't to know if my laptop is even good enough to provide excellent playback.

My laptop:

HP PAVILION DV7-3190EM

-Intel Core i5-430 2.26GHz

-4GB ram (2x2GB), DDR3, 1066MHz

-hard drive 640GB, 5400rpm, SATA

-NVIDIA GeForce GT320M 1GB

-Windows 7 64-bit

Appriciate all the awnsers.

Yes, you can as long as the HDCP is working between the two devices (it should)

as long as your laptop has a built in (factory, but with the right player and pc and software you could do an add-on) blu-ray player and an HDMI out port you will be fine it will be HDCP compliant.

you didn't mention that your laptop had a blu-ray drive or HDMI output in it or not. that's why i answered the way i did. i chose not to do research on your pc. i think with the spec's you gave the answer is probably yes anyway! you've got a lot of juice uder the hood of that laptop!

best of luck, keep us posted.
