Default anyone familiar with iMovie?

not sure if this belongs here but yeah. Is anyone here familiar with it? I'm trying to get my video converted to .jpeg or .gif is there a way in iMovie to get it converted? I use to use Ulead Video Studio like 3 -4 years ago and there was an option for that in that program.

I doubt Ulead offered the ability to transfer movie files into a a .jpeg format, as that format is only used to compress photographs, not movies. Are you sure it was not an .mpeg format?

It may have been possible to convert movie footage into a .gif animation, however I don't believe iMovie gives one that capability. (Not that that is much help though, since you already knew that.) I may suggest checking out Final Cut Express, that may give you that capability. I did a quick search and looked through the Tech Specs of Final Cut Express to see if one could export a file to a .gif and could not find any exact answers.

Here is a link to the tech specs for Final Cut Express or possibly even contact Apple directly. They may be able to suggest or advise if one of their programs gives you that capability.

Hope that helps!
