Received an e-mail from Bhavani DVD this morning stating the following:

Good news that Bhavani is finally releasing another blu-ray! Strange though since I've already e-mailed them twice in the past two weeks and have received no reply, and no notification of this release. Strange customer service.

its not blu-ray they are releasing dvd tomorrow.....

Have you even read the thing? It specifically says "blu-ray releasing in June".

I saw it in theater and felt it was a one time watch but apparently a lot of others liked it

Everyone i talked to said it is boring movie, only samantha is ok,but on print everyone says it is epic movie...

I was told its a average movie but seems to have appealed to urban audience especially the young ones

When I first watched the movie, I thought it was just okay and Rahman didn't do a good Job. Then I realized what a fool I had been. Later on I watched it in theatre like 6 times. It's great movie. Superb acting by Samantha (&Trisha in tamil). Excellent music by Rahman Saab. I guess it'd be nice to watch Manoj Paramahansa's work on bluray!

someone on another forum commented that dvd quality is like bluray,i guess it is all subjective and depends on your viewing options....

Its not similar to blu-ray but definetely the dvd quality was good...

Bhavani DVD released outside India was good whereas Volga videos released in India is not upto the mark as there were some color issues ....

Blu-ray releasing on 15th, June with bonus features. While King Blu-ray was released without any extra features, YMC is going to be the feature-rich Blu-ray. We have the source for Extras like interviews, bloopers, making of the movie. All the extras on this blu-ray are presented in standard Definition. YMC is also a dual layer Blu-ray being authored by Prasad EFX. Trying to balance the space on the disc for extras without disturbing the video quality. We will publish all the details of extras on our website this week.

oh no!!!, throw the extras in a standard dvd(and make it a 2 disc,even though one is bluray and another regular one) and increase price by a dollar if you/they want, but don't try to cramp it all up!! I hope it is not too late for suggestions...
