what about the Charlie Brown Movies? It's been ages since I've seen Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown, Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown and Snoopy Come Home. I'd probably pay $30 for those.

At the moment, Paramount and CBS have possession of the movies, so unless they decide that they actually give a care about these movies, or if Warner spends a lot to buy and then restore the movies AND think that they're worthy of a Blu release, it's unlikely...

Same here. Watch it every year at least five or six times around Halloween and it still hasn't lost it's charm.

I'm glad about this too, but come on WB, price this a bit more reasonably than your past releases.

It's better than the price of "Charlie Brown Christmas" (which was $29.99 SRP). The DVD-only editions are $19.99 SRP, so they had to make it a little higher...

Don't forget "A Boy Named Charlie Brown"! That was the first full-length film.

Yes, good grief on the price is right for a 25 minute show.

WB should just put all the holiday shows on one BD and sell it as a package.

They've posted the back cover of the Blu-ray on Amazon, and it lists the audio as being English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. That was unexpected!

Warner Home Video has announced two holiday-themed titles for Blu-ray release on October 5: the Peanuts special A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and the 1974 stop-motion movie The Year without a Santa Claus. Additionally, the studio will release the Peanuts Holiday Collection (comprised of It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas).

Special features for A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving include:

* The Mayflower Voyagers: in this episode from the This Is America, Charlie Brown series, the Peanuts Kids become pilgrims sailing to the New World aboard the Mayflower and enduring the first hard winter on Plymouth Plantation
* Featurette: Popcorn & Jellybeans: Making a Thanksgiving Classic

I bought the newly remastered holiday box set last year -- and although it's got a nostalgic factor that I can't deny, I had forgotten how boring the Thanksgiving special is! So I just bought Charlie Brown Christmas on BD, and will probably just pick up the Great Pumpkin separately -- those are my two favorites.

Now I know why I can never find a A Charlie Brown Christmas on Blu Ray. Seriously, when it came out last year I saw it at Target and Best Buy that first month. Since then, I've yet to ever see it again at Walmart, Target, Best Buy or Fry's.

I'm guessing they are holding it back so people will buy the box set in October.
