Saw a preview screening in London today... was worse than I could have possibly imagined (And I feared the worst!)

Tired pop culture references make not a good movie!... And speaking as a fan of Mad Men, Jon Hamm is woefully under used!

I will wait for the release of this film in blu-ray and definitely will not watch it in cinema.

Exhibitor Relations SHREK 4 saw its kingdom crumble as it grossed just $21 million on Friday. In comparison, SHREK THE THIRD grossed $38 million on opening day!! Pretty obvious this franchise is "ogre" the hill...

I loved it. A lot better than the third. Shame about its opening day, but it still could do some damage.

I loved the first and second movie. Whereas a lot of people for some reason didn't like the second that much but I thought it was hilarious. Especially when they told Pinocchio to lie and he didn't know what to say. So they said say you're wearing women's underwear, he did and nothing happened. Then Gingy says "it's a thong!"

The third movie, to me, wasn't THAT bad. But I also haven't watched it since it came out. I have yet to see the 4th movie and will most likely wait until they're all out of Blu-ray to see them.

Personally I think anyone who didn't like the third really shouldn't say they shouldn't have made a 4th one, blah blah blah. It's supposedly the last so what were they gonna do leave the 3rd with an open ending and that's it? If you didn't like it, then don't see the 4th one.

that sux!!! was hoping for the best for this one.

i'll wait for the 4th to be released on blu b/c then hopefully all 4 will be available by then.

Bleh sounds like "Indy 4", guess I'll get it if it comes in a combo with the other 3.

I think this has alot to do with the 3rd one. That and maybe it's just me but I didn't see alot of TV advertisement.

Plus if this wasn't in 3-D how much would it have?

I'll probably see it on the 1st, not in the biggest hurry to see it because of the poor feedback from audiences and critics so far.

I wish I hadn't Foggy, but I genuinely have! I'm not in the business of rating or reviewing a movie unless I have seen it with my own two eyes!

So I can swear, hand on heart, that I saw and hated the movie from start to finish!

The original was a great flick, but even the first wasn't "original"... Shrek movies rely to much on fitting popular culture references into a medieval fairytale environment! And as is evident in 3 and 4, most of the time these references, or "jokes" as they are laughably referred to, are often wide of the mark when it comes to raising even a grin from my face!

When did you see it, I'm just wondering cause it's not out in the UK till july, and the only advance screening is on 1st June at Vue cinemas

Paramount ran a preview at the Apollo in Leamington Spa... not very hush hush, but my best mate Matthew works for Zeppotron and was invited by a friend... I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to see a movie (any movie) at a free industry screening!!!

Shame about the quality of the feature over all!
