I can’t believe the 1st one is still so high, I don’t recall any major deals or a great price for it since it was released.

If it's $19 that's a good price, but for some reason I'm not really an Iron Man fan.

Personally though I didn't think it was as good as the first movie, I'll be buying it but I want a fantastic price to tell the truth and I can wait on it.

after many repeat viewings of both The Dark Knight and Iron Man.....i'm leaning more towards Iron Man as my fav. from the summer of 2008.

Iron Man 2 was released in the theaters on May 7th. If the pattern of release dates is any guide it will be released sometime between August 24th and Sept 28th. It took Iron Man just shy of 5 months to be released (May 1 to Sep 30th). I'm going to say that July is too early.

I don't know about any rules, but it seems to take 3.5 to 5 months generally between theater release dates and DVD/BD.

There isn't any actual rule about releasing movies on home video a certain amount of time after release, but theaters get very upset when studios release movies quickly. The theaters believe the box office will be lower if consumers know they can rent the movie after a couple months. If a studio were to make a habit of having a quick turnaround they would face a boycott from theater owners. Some British, Irish, and Italian theaters threatened to boycott Alice in Wonderland because it's DVD release in those countries was only 12 weeks after the theatrical release.

Personally, I think this movie was better than the 1st one. It had more of everythink.
