Why is everyone taking the AVS official line about this as gospel truth when none of us buy their "We are neutral" mantra? It is possible that there was some trouble between individuals not directly involved in the industry but based on Max's comments in another thread, it sounds like one of the studios may have laid down a heavy lawyer smackdown on AVS.

We cannot automatically assume that this was merely the result of individual partisans. That is their official line but don't believe a word of it.

I've not been back to AVS even to lurk since I was banned a week ago. I may have mentioned that AVS is in danger of being sued by one of the studios but I never even suggested that I would have anything to do with it yet they banned me for my prophesies/warnings.
