PS3 2.0 Themes (or lack thereof)

I only looked at it briefly, but I think I only got one additional theme. The one with the heart background and what looks like hand drawn icons. I don't think I got the snow one. Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place. I'll have to check again when I get home.

True that their is a tutorial but it isn't official & over complicated to create, i beleive in the future we will see more stuff we can use to create really cool things, we've got the stuff but need more content to give better options to create our custom themes

1080 backgrounds are hard enough to find but what i'd really like to see is more funky ways to change how the icons look, theres only three choices yet

You can download directly from that page onto your PS3 through the PS3's browser (it recognises and integrates them as themes even though it says it's downloading them to the photo section)

You create your own .PNG images with transparency/translucency in an image editing programme and then you've got infinite possibilities for changing how the icons look.

er, i think i'll w8 for sum pre-made 1s that look good, sounds too complicated for me & i'm fairly able or maybe i'm just being lazy , in any case, i bet i won't do a good job

I love this Ice theme, I turned the background down to -2 so the foreground text is more readable and I'll probably use this as my default theme until something cooler comes along.

Anyone know offhand if you can save images as PNG with transparency in Photoshop CS2?

Yeah, under Save As and Save for Web (PNG-24). Not sure if it supports PNG-32 output though, might need a plugin if the converter program is strict about things like that.

Supposdly this new update when you play ps2 games now it fills the screen up.Remeber playing ps2 games on the ps3 and on your hdtv that the screen doenst fiil? Well now you can.

Yeah,my brother told me this morning when he was driving me to work that after he installed the update he for the hell of it wanted to play San Andreas and that game now filled the screen and i believe him cus he only live like 20 feet away from him so yeah im going to try it when i get out of work.
