Google is your friend

"I had a Compaq that would not boot up, It would hang after compaq came on monitor. Tech support said to unplug computer and hold power switch in for 60 seconds. This solved problem."

did that not work? from what I read on that code it is caused by malware. So there is a good chance your hdd is corrupted and you will need to do a repair install of Windows XP

The repair should do the trick but if you have any more problems it may be time for a clean install/new hard drive.

Sorry, Moefiz...I feel your pain.

I'm fighting a similar problem on my home PC. "Loading PBR for Descriptor 2...done".. when I try to boot using an XP recovery disk, it verfies the hardware and just stops... sucks because I've got a ton of iTunes music and pictures on that HDD. Guess I'll have to learn how to slave an internal hard drive to a different computer...
