User locations gone for good?

I personally found the user's location info under their avatar on posts very helpful and was wondering if there were plans to bring it back to forum posts? Was it removed to make room for the new "repped" feature?

I know you can find it on a member's profile but that can be a unnecessary step to take in most instances.

Here's a few examples of how seeing where a poster is from helps me...
Gaming: finding other blu members in the same time zone for meeting up in multiplayer games.
Trading: to quickly verify if location matches the info I was given by a buyer/seller.
-Deals- seeing if sale items are still in stock at local B&M's in my area based on posts from other locals.

I'm sure others out there can chime in on the issue as I have seen in a couple of other random threads.

Just my 2 cents.

It can still be found in the about me tab if you click on the username, but it does add an extra step.

Ya I really liked that info for sports threads, its nice to easily see where someone is coming from.

I agree. I like the Location status. I was able to meet several people in my city. Now I have to actually look in their profie.

I think we can all agree that we all like simplicity. I agree, lets vote for the location status back. Maybe a poll?

Or perhaps a mod can chime in and inform us as to why it was removed? That'd be helpful.

I agree. I actually met a few buddies who live in my area that otherwise, we never would have known.

Point taken, locations are back. We removed the location because it was being abused, for example in this thread Bizdady's location: "The 8 1 8 biatch!" isn't very helpful

Question though on your comment of abuse.... is the PSN ID okay over there? I have some tweaking to do to line it back up nice but want to be sure.

Is there any way you could make that block of text under usernames collapsible? It's just a bit much for me and I imagine others feel the same way.
