Future update wish for PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I think it would be cool to be able to have more visuals to choose from when listening to a music library or a music cd. Either through an update or the playstation network but I LOVE my PS3 so it's cool however.

totally agree with you. considering how powerful the processor is there should be opportunities for some AMAZING visualizations.

It would be great if they let you make custom visuals such as those for Winamp. Open it up to the mod community. There is some awesome stuff out there that is right up PS3's alley.

I got a 400gb external drive with 10,500+ songs connected to the PS3.
Would be awesome to see more visuals. Great for the parties with the mp3's on shuffle. Or maybe a nice fireplace visual and a soft playlist for the ladies.

Wait a minute, the PS3 is without DTS-HD MA decoding and you are worried about a cute little menu?? It hasn't been update to profile 1.1 or higher. Many people bought the PS3 as a bluray player mainly. I don't care about psp crap or fuzzy little icons. I want a technically better PS3!!

WE NEED DTS-HD MA DECODING AND UPDATED PROFILE!!

it's simple. people want 3 things:

1) profile 1.1 or 2.0
2) dts-hd-ma
3) in game xmb

everything else can wait

But even if we don't get 1.1 for another few updates, it would be nice if they threw some more Nature theme backgrounds (with the "snowflake" cursor button) in every so often--
I've downloaded the Winter, and it's nice to have some hi-def "window" to look at...Seeing as all the other downloadable Themes so far have been boring old game-promotion related.

i think it would be cool if we could download wallpapers off of websites and use them as the background. being able to download Flash Player for websites that require it. Not having that stupid thing that keeps popping up the one that says Would you like to run the plugin? because that really gets annoying sometimes.

.avi is an audio and video container which is developed by Microsoft. So everyone can stop hoping we're going to get it because Microsoft would NEVER give Sony the rights to support .avi on ths PS3.

Can't you turn that off by checking a box to always take that action? I thought you could.
