LG LCD TVs have great pictures, but they also have reliability issues. They seem to be made with some faulty (cheap) components that easily fail due to heavy usage.

Many LG LCDs have the same major components as Philips displays because LG and Philips have a joint venture in LCD manufacturing, similar to how Sony and Samsung have one too.

Doesn't mean that they are all created equal but I've seen some pretty nice looking LGs and like gvortex7, I've heard about some potential reliability issues but nothing confirmed.

I've seen too many HDTV competitors on the market but only a few are actually your moneys worth. Such as my 32" Sharp Aquos 1080p 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Could've gotten something better such as a Samsung but the current one I possess is the best bedroom HDTV on the market (In my opinion.)
