Definitely... the Harold 2 pack would be a steal (although they did raise it up from its once $14.99 price tag).

Too bad I either have all the movies, or don't want them!

WOAH! RIP. OFF.

tons of these movies were 2/$25 or $12.99 each (as opposed to $16.99 each) last week, I remember getting Dark City for $12.99!

don't think they've added any new 2/$20 titles either

(actually they have, all of the $8 alliance titles are now 2/$20 or $12.99, instead of being 2 for $16)

Got 'Dawn of the Dead' remake, 'Spy Game', 'The Strangers' and 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' for $46 in all, including taxes and 10% price difference. Without the HMV price match, they would have cost over $110 combined (incl. taxes), based on FS's current prices for those specific BD titles, so I'd say it's a pretty good deal.....

Memento, Pan's Labyrinth, Blood Diamond, Kill Bill 1/2 and Lord of War are some awesome titles that are part of this promo. Everything else does seem meh.

lol, it's the opposite for me. I've gotten the majority of my collection from HMV, mostly during their trade-in promo months. Saving some money on blus by trading in old DVDs I won't watch again doesn't hurt.

So many of these "deals" were 2 for $20 last week so I think it's kinda bullshit to raise them again, especially since you can't combine with the trade in save. So shame on you HMV.

A lot of the movies they recently added weren't on the 2 for 20 list. As far as I recall, most if not all of the 2 for 20 movies were those ones you'd commonly find in BB/FS' $10 sales.

I haven't found anything of interest at HMV with these deals.

Then again, I'm not upgrading my entire DVD collection to BD. I'm only upgrading titles which I plan to watch in the near future. Otherwise, all the prices will surely drop.

$5 is my threshold for a no-brainer. At $10, it's not that great unless I plan to watch it. You can rent a movie for less than that if you just want one viewing.

HMV has been awesome actually. When it comes to day one purchases, FS & BB don't always have everything but HMV is always on the ball. Plus I've been able to do special orders for out-of-stock items & hard to find Canadian discs.
