Default Marantz SR5003 or SR6003 or SR7002?

Hello, im just getting crazy to make a right choice, well definitely Marantz is the right choice, but i don't know what model is better.

My budget is US$500.00 i was determined get the Marantz SR5003 but looking arround i found other marantz options as the SR6003 for US$649.99 refurbished (i don't like refurbished) but now i found the marantz SR7002 BRAND NEW for US$699.99 (regular price for this is between US$900.00 to US$1,200.00) i could wait more time to collect more money and get this one but i don't know if it worthwhile.

I need your advices guys, please

Get the SR7002 definitively between these three and with these prices.

I can sing you a song all about it, but I simply won't, just take my word for it, or do a smart research for confirmation. The SR7002 is a DYNAMITE receiver that listed originally for $1,500 USA.
It is much superior than the 5003, or even the 6003 for only $50 more.

* And brand new too! It's a real STEAL!

I gotta agree. The SR7002 is easily the best of the three for all sorts of reasons. Its well worth the extra cash. Get it and don't look back!

You've already decided Marantz - so you're on the right track, all 3 receivers are great - they all decode the new hi def audio codecs, they all have pre-outs and all have enough power to handle pretty well any system. In my opinion you've set a budget stick to it. You can always add more power later...

How much is the 5003?

If it's in your budget and still with the Marantz 3 year warranty I would just get that. If not - between the refurb 6003 and a brand new 7002 the extra $50 is worth spending. It might get even cheaper while you're saving up since the newer SR7005 is supposed to be released later this year.

The Elites should be announced sometime over the summer. I'd be a little nervous about getting a new model Marantz after the issue with the pop of death with the 5004 and 6004 receivers especially due to the way Marantz responded to the problem which amounted to denial and refusal of warranty coverage.

Anyone considering Marantz should look at the previous *003 and *002 models only for the time being. The upcoming *005 models should be looked at with caution, and the current *004 models should be avoided altogether.
