Requesting MGM, distributer of James Bond movies to be released on Blu-Ray.

The reason(s) they are not out yet is nothing more than financial so it would be better to get 1 million people to send MGM $50.00 each. That may add enough capital to the books so that they would produce them. One can hope...

Lol, I was told by MGM that corporate needs to listen to customers. I called them yesterday and they took my request for GoldenEye to be forwarded to corporate.

So I still think they will listen if its not just one person requesting the movies.. It will make them think.

I signed it!

I just bought the James Bond 11 Disc collection yesterday from Amazon (Deal of the day $99) so now I have all the Bond movies on blu-ray except Casino Royale and of course the ones that are not out yet.

Of course they took your request, it could create bad PR if they didn't. And yes, there are people inside MGM who want to release the remaining Bonds. But, from an accounting point of view it would reduce MGMs value, and they can't afford that. UNTIL, the bankrutcy is settled nothing will happen.

So, I didn't go to the link, so it may be there, but, anyone else notice that in the OP there is no mention of Tomorrow Never Dies?

I mean, it may not be my favourite Bond, but I love the opening scene with the jet. And besides, no Bond collection is complete without every Bond movie...

What makes more financial sense for MGM? Release the rest of the Bond movies right now....or wait and release them to tie-in whenever the new James Bond movie hits theaters? And by waiting, the user base will continue to grow and that will mean more potential sales. I know it sucks that we don't have the rest of them, but they're not going to market the rest of the catalog until they have a new film to promote at the same time.

I don't think the current group of films has sold as well as they'd hoped for either, which may be another reason they're holding back the remaining titles.

It was going to be directed by Sam Mendes, but MGM's financial woes have delayed it indefinitely and he's working on other projects now.
