Default Your favorite NHL player of all time?

mine is Mr. Eddie Belfour

This man is the reason i started watching Hockey. I was 13 or 14, and the First Hockey game i ever really sat down and watched was the Blackhawks Vs the Red Wings. He had an amazing shutout, and i fell in love with the Butterfly style goal tending. it was also the the first time i ever seen a netminder blast someone in the face with a blocker!

I've never really been attached to any particular NHL team so I'll go with the player I enjoyed watching the most. That would be Dominick Hasek. From the mid 90's on he was like watching an orchestra in perfect harmony. Just as dominant a goalie as you'll ever find.

I still remember watching Hasek playing for the Czechs against superior Canadian team in the Semi-final and just completely dominating them with one amazing save after another.

Ditto. Steve Yzerman was the sole reason I ever got into hockey and watched it. Drastic decline in my games watching and satellite hockey package buying when he retired. Wish I can one day get one of my jerseys signed.

The guy who got me into watching/playing hockey, the greatest goalie of all-time #33. Sorry Brodeur fans, he might have broken Roy's regular season records, but until he gets more Cups and get 3 Conn Smythe Trophies, Roy still is king.

im still trying to hook it up so that i can face his shot at least one time, my best friend's little brother plays hockey with macinnis's son, and al coaches the team, im going to try and somehow be able to suit up and have him take a few shots at me, i mentioned it once when i was able to talk to him for a few minutes after one of their games, but he kind of laughed me off, but seriously, how awesome.....and painful.....would that be? probably wont ever happen, but we'll see

That would be very cool, hopefully it works out for you. I joined a roller hockey team in highschool, and got to play a game with Darren Mccarty of the Red Wings back in the 90s. He just walked in the building and felt like playing, it was a lot of fun.

I not only liked Eddie "The Eagle" Belfour but he had a really good backup netminder at the time. I'm sure a lot of you know him by the name of DOMINIK HASEK.

Almost forgot too.

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks and all their fans in ending a 49 year old drought by winning The Stanley Cup.

Kane ended the OT with a shot that only he knew went in at first. The most memorable finish to a Stanley Cup Final I have ever seen.

Can't just pick one player. I have to pick Mario Lemieux, what he overcame and what he did...we won't ever see that again.

Kevin Stevens, great player, loved how he played the game.

Ron Francis, amazing leader for whoever he played for, led by example.
