Next year, Star Wars will be the best box set.

Ultimate Matrix for me.

I liked how the X-Men set also looks. Box looks great.

I was thinking Band of Brothers before even seeing the forum. The current title holder. Maybe Pacific will best it when it comes out.

You missed one of the nicest box sets ever put out: Planet Of The Apes: 40 Year Evolution.

Not only are the movies fun and presented in fine transfers, the packaging is among the finest. An excellent oversize hardback 200 page book, tons of extras, a full time-line of the films and a good looking box.

My vote goes to "Other"!

What is refered here in the best box set? is it content based or quality of the packaging or overal?

Best packaging:

Planet of the Apes UCE
Band of Brothers
Battlestar Galactica( I like the old design although its poorer in box quality)
Mel Brooks Collection

Best Content:

Band of Brothers(actually all hbo series)
Battlestar Galactica

Overal(both nicest box, best content:
Band of Brothers

For me it would have to be The Godfather Trilogy. Awesome restoration coupled with killer commentaries and extras.

My favorite so far isn't on the list - Batman Anthology.

Say what you will about the later films, it's a killer box set. Commentaries on all four films, a great six-part documentary (though I'd rather the doc was all on one disc and not spread out), and although many of the big stars didn't do unique content for the new special features most of what they have in terms of archival footage was previously unreleased.

The only bummer is that all the special features are in SD, but overall it's the only box set I've ever had (DVD or Blu) where I've literally watched and enjoyed every single special feature.

Band of Brothers hands down. It is a riveting miniseries and the PQ/AQ are amazing. The only thing that comes close to it out of the ones listed, IMO, is the Ultimate Matrix Collection.

I'm bothered that Battlestar Galactica is not in this race. How is it possible that you didn't include it? I voted other and I wasn't happy about having to do that either. You really should have included BSG

Band of Brothers followed closely by The Ultimate Matrix collection. There's just no beating these two.
