Thumbs up 3D Demos on PSN

hey everyone,
earlier today I downloaded and tried out the 3D demos on PSN. They are Motorstorm 3D, Stardust 3D and Wipeout HD 3D. There is another one, but it is an update if you have Pain already.
let me say, WOW WOW WOW, they were all looking totally awesome. I have the Samsung 8000 series 3D TV, and it was fantastic. Motorstorm totally blew me away, lol. And Stardust when you run into one of the planet pieces and you explode? Well, it looks like the debris is coming right out of the screen lol. Now I am gonna have to get Pain and check that out too lol

Kudos to Sony for making this happen in my lifetime lol

p.s. isnt it funny that Sega had this technology back in the 80's but didnt do anything with it

I'm looking forward to gaming in 3D as well. I'm gonna wait until the 2nd or 3rd generation of TVs though.

As for your SEGA in the 80's comment? I don't think that any company has had THIS level of 3D capability until now. The 3D back then would have been the headache inducing blue/red glasses technique. That wouldn't have been very fun or very powerful an affect.

no,
I actually had the Sega Master System with the 3D Glasses. They were wired (active) just like the glasses i am using now for my Samsung, but wireless. Look, I was amazed by the 3D back then, i saw it first hand. People wanted this, but the japanese didnt care for it then. When they came out with the Sega Genisis, Sega claimed games were in 3D already, which was a total freakin lie. Games were in 2D. Sega could have had the marketplace that Sony has now but they went now wheres with the technology they had then. I had all the 3D games for it (Sega Master System) they were a blast and fun. I had a 31 inch CRT TV, and my fav game was Missle Defense3D which was game that came with it and Light gun too. I kept gettin close to the tv to see where the missles were actually coming from ( behind the Earth) looked totally awesome then lol.
now, do you remember the Hologram Arcade game Sega had? cant remember name, but your character you controlled by tapping the joystick up, down, right, left. Well anyways, imagine a 65 inch tv laying flat, projecting a movie the same way, again, just imagine what that could be like? Sorry Sega didnt go anywheres with that either lol.
But the Sega Master System was not Blue/Red cellophane cardboard glasses

Same here, Petra. Not gonna shell out over $1,500 for basically 1st-gen technology at this point. Gonna give it a bit for the electronics gurus to work out the kinks and get the price point to a reasonable level. For now, the 3D fanfare will be moot to me until those things happen.

I wish they would make clip on lenses for those of us that already wear glasses. My ears hurt wearing two pairs of glasses that long.

YES. Why they haven't thought of that I have no idea. I have contacts, but I'm not going to go out of my way to put in contacts to watch a damn movie.
