Surprising ! A hugely hyped movie KITES to be telecasted on Television as World Premeire on 27th June 8 p.m. Indian time, on 'Colours' Channel. A big banner movie of this type, released on 21st May in theatres and is on Television within almost a month.

Was the movie that major disaster, that the owners felt like to cash it so quickly on television !

producers/distributors didn't recover all the money that went into making this film..so i think they are just trying to recover some money by airing it on tv first..sort of like what producers of 3 idiots are doing even though 3 idiots was a big success.

Already available on Direct to TV so it ain't shocking anymore.

That's Colors (not Colours). And yeah, the movie wasn't that amazing. I saw it in theaters, but it didn't really entertain me. I think it was meant for a global audience, so it didn't really connect with Indian audiences (all the Indian critics wrote negative reviews of the movie, but the foreign press seemed to take to the movie more). In the end, it was an interesting watch, but it's not something I can see more than once.

This movie had flop written all over it. I'm surprised distributors coughed up big time cash for this movie. Look for the Roshans to make Krrish 3 to help Hrithik's career.

Naah his career is not in jeopardy. The movie had FAIL written all over it, they tried to hype it and still no results.
