Exclamation A Lightsaber For $200

I found this and was like; "HOLY S***!"

Quote:
Wicked Lasers built “the world’s most powerful portable laser”, the Spyder III Pro Arctic, with the blue-laser diode out of Casio’s new projector. This is also an extremely dangerous class 4 laser that kicks off an entire watt. And they’re just selling it to whoever has $200. Crazy.

Quote:
It can permanently blind you and set your skin—or anything else, really—on fire almost instantly. [...] The diodes in Casio’s new mercury-free Green Slim projectors apparently allow for unprecedentedly powerful portable lasers, and Wicked Lasers has gleefully harvested them for the 1 Watt Spyder III. [Gizmodo]
If that’s not scary enough, check out the official description:

Quote:
The Arctic emits a 445nm cool blue, ultra high power 1W beam which appears up to 4000% brighter than the Sonar’s 405nm violet beam. This direct blue laser diode is the result of the evolution of laser technology. Less than one year ago, this laser would have cost thousands of dollars to build. Don’t let the Arctic name fool you, this laser possesses the most burning capabilities of any portable laser in existence. That’s why it’s also the most dangerous laser ever created. [WickedLasers]
Sold. Wait, it’s $200? I only have about tree fiddy. Please tell me the included safety glasses cost $196.50. Because you can leave those out. Who needs that nonsense?

Seriously though, stay way the hell away from this. If it does what they claim it can, we’re talking instant blindness through a closed eyelid, skin cancer, arson charges, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria.

Michael Bay needs about two hundred million dollars worth of these for his next movie. Think of all the chaos he could cause with that.

If they would put it in one of these, I'd buy it. Could you imagine pulling one of these out on a thug trying to steal your wallet? He'd laugh his a$$ off until his flesh started melting.
