Oooh nice thread and a brilliant actor.

Sorry to be lazy but, I'd go with Star Wars - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, because he gives a very powerful performance and is easily the best out of all the actors in the film, although Sammuel L. Jackson and Ian McDiarmid aren't far behind.

Superb actor.

I disagree, he gets a lot of interesting roles and I have never heard someone say they hate him as an actor. He just doesn't have Brad Pitt looks that would make him super popular.

Trainspotting - Just an awesome movie, one of my all time favorites. The toilet scene made me so uncomfortable, I thought I was gonna puke.

I have never seen Velvet Goldmine, I will have to check it out.

He surprised me Moulin Rouge.

He's always a fun actor to watch.

Great in Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary.

He was one of the few actors who seemed to be trying to "act" in the Star Wars films.

The Island. I really enjoy quite a few other movies he is in as well, though. Big Fish, Trainspotting, Black Hawk Down, etc.
