"Leon The Professional" - disc problem...anyone else?

Anyone else have a problem playing the extended version? I was watching my copy last night and the movie was playing fine until the 1:08:39 mark. At that point, the movie stopped playing and the screen was frozen. I gave it a minute or so, and the disc did not try to move forward.

I sent the disc back to Amazon today. I will have to wait almost two weeks for my replacement, as they are out of stock at the moment.

when putting this type of post out there, you should list the gear you have as the problem may be specific to your gear. also, people will be able to help you out better knowing as much as they can know. also, some people will simply not answer because you didn't include that information; sometimes people don't wanna have to ask.

i have this blu-ray and it plays perfectly from start to finish for me in either of my oppo players on either system.

your move, oh yeah, that's quit the occupation you have listed there!

Thanks for the heads up. I have a Samsung HT-BD1250 HIB. I have had one other disc do something similar ("Red Cliff") before.

The HT-BD1250 acted as if I had put the movie on pause. When I tried to hit play after a minute or so, nothing happened. I hit the slow motion forward button, and it moved forward a few frames. By then, the frames were out of sequence. I tried 3 times and each time the movie stopped at the same point.

I bought this disc several weeks ago and am just getting around to watching it now. When I select "Play Movie" from the main menu the only option I can select is the theatrical release. The option to play the extended version is visible but is "grayed out" and not selectable. Any ideas?

Well, I just returned my original copy and bought another brand new one and it does the same darn thing...Select "Play" from the main menu then a pop up asks you which version you want...when I try to select the extended version the "Extended Version" menu item briefly flashes white then the cursor returns to the "Theatrical Version" option all on its own. I cannot select the extended version for some reason and it's getting annoying. Anybody else experience this?

just put in my copy and i had no problems selecting or playing the extended version... which release do you have, paramount or sony?... i wonder if that has anything to do with it
