I doubt it. You can't do that with any other game. And honestly when I hook my psp up to my tv it looks like crap. The first god of war for psp looks great on psp, on my tv it looks terrible. My wife is a huge god of war fan so I played the entire first one hooked up to the tv. These games are designed for a psp screen. The only benefit is when using my psp go on the tv I can use my ps3 controller.

I can say the God Of War series is the Playstation's true Legend of Zelda, but you have to keep in mind they are narratively different. The Legend of Zelda series is something they can be turned into anything they want to, from a child's coming of age tale to a disturbing story of redemption and cruelity for example. The God of War series is more of a timeline within the story, so the narrative choices aren't as widely free as they need to be narratively consistent, and keep in mind this is based on greek mythology and uses many figures to it's fiction.

The best choice to keep the series running is focus on an entirely different character, and virtually change the storytelling, AKA sell it as a spin off.

We’re calling this footage the “Midas Moment” since is shows Kratos’ battle against King Midas. It really showcases the living/breathing world with the environment completely fleshed out with people reacting to Kratos’ presence and every action. The terrain is volcanic with lava all around providing a great glimpse into another part of the world Kratos will explore in Ghost of Sparta and another example of the breathtaking art found in the game. This scene also shows off a more immersive “in your face” battle with up-close and personal brutality. It cinematically presents the brutal, bulldozing force that Kratos exerts to obliterate each and every obstacle in his path (think Poseidon kill in GoWIII). And with the inclusion of King Midas, it seamlessly integrates another popular character from Greek mythology into the GoW universe.

Not a chance, they want to sell the psp consoles. Personally it is worthwhile buying a psp so you can connect it to you ps3 (or straight to the tv) as there are many great games on the psp.
