Wow, all good movies. But Eros is really not doing a great job with BDs lately.

Him Dil De is already being worked on by Eros. Their rep said this right on this forum a few months ago. He also said it will he out late this year, which could also mean next year in Eros time, lol.

Cool that HDDCS is being released later on. What about Devdas? It was a huge hit and they should have atleast announced that it is to be released sometime later on.

Guru would be a buy for me, however no issues with PQ and AQ, and def no watermarks.

If India doesnt put DIL SE on blu-ray, it is the same as not putting Avatar on Blu-ray. Futhermore it is one of the few Indian masterpieces that everyone would upgrade to blu-ray version since the dvd was bad quality.

I agree with you 100%. I would give anything for this movie on bluray. Currently there are 4 DVD versions of this movie and the Platinum Edition DEi is considered the best. Unfortunately it is a non-anamorphic release with lots of cropping on the left and right sides.

If Ram-Leela Blu-ray succeeds to generate good revenue in Blu-ray market as expected then Sanjay Leela Bhansali may take initiative to release "Devdas" and "HDDCS" on Blu-ray.

Definitely before putting any old title in restoration process for Blu-ray, Company should choose few good titles and start a voting poll option on each their website and on Facebook official page. E.g.

Which Sanjay Leela Bhansali Movie deserves blu-ray treatment? or Which movie you would like to watch on Blu-ray? (options below)

1. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
2. Devdas
3. Khamoshi - The Musical
4. any other, please mention below.

And here are the results
1. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (90%)
2. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (95%)
3. !!!!!!!!!!! (20%)
4. Blah Blah

Yes, Couple of years back I guess I have seen Guru on MoserBaer blu-ray. But still in doubt that was DVD or BD.

Yes Guru Blu Ray was released by Moser Baer. The encode quality is certainly 7/10.

I have many MoserBaer Blu-rays and I am not satisfied with their quality.
A Wednesday, Bhoothnaath, Swades etc. They are washed and some scenes are just white or Cyan (blue). Sky looks like pure blue, no shades, variations in color like blue is added manually. White shirt looks flat white, no creasing folds etc etc. Some are very bright, need to adjust minimum settings but still look more and some are dull example Kaminey.

Concur with the above posters. Guru BR has been out pretty much within a few months of the actual movie's release! I think it's an Eros release. I've got the movie in my theatre. I'll check it and confirm. I say Eros for now as it's a typical Eros release. Watchable and good but always shy of being perfect. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has to rate as my all time best BR transfer thus far but thats a story for another thread.

HDDCS would be another Eros affair. Dil Se too was an Eros release originally. Would be a good transfer but never perfect.

I'm looking forward to one day seeing Devdas get the proper BR treatment. Additionally, it would be a complete coup to see classics like Karma, Khalnayak and Ram Lakhan given the BR treatment. These films were made for the big screen.

I guess Yes, Eagle has released "Anand" and "Chupke Chupke". And after getting the good sales number (than Gupt and Vidhaata) they processed the other Hrishikesh Mukherjee's movies "Golmaal" and "Bawarchi".
