Default Movie News/HT info Burn Out.......and you.

1st off....sorry for the title. didn't know how else to label it.

does anyone else get burned out @ all trying to keep up w/all of news about upcoming movies, blu-ray releases, and/or what new HT equipment is coming out????

i find myself skipping over threads for movies i'd normally be interested in but find it daunting to try and keep up w/everything.

esp. when it's a movie like the hobbit that is so far away.

just curious. not that i'm complaining or anything. i love movies and it's the one thing i can talk about non-stop and i look forward to the day when i've got my own completed HT and a site like this one is great b/c i get all of the news i want on everything i enjoy in 1 place.

Eh, it's so-so. I've been focusing on my movie that I've stopped buying Blu-rays and just rely on my library for the new releases right now. Sure, it's DVDs, but I'm not paying for it. And for the theatrical films, I usually go to the dollar theater. And on the coming soon stuff, I don't really focus on it since it'll be out soon. Plus, this Summer has been pretty dead for me. Only Summer film I've seen so far is Iron Man 2.

once in a while i catch a story and post it before you guys!!

but it's not very often.

the thing that inspired this thread was i finally looked @ the fast 5 thread today even though i'm interested in the movie.

there's just so much news out there i can't keep up!!!

Well, I'm obviously up to date on that one

It would definitely be much simpler to just know a movie is coming out...wait for the trailer...go see it.....but not as fun

Movie news is like crack for me

In all honesty, I've wound up skipping 90% of all recent films over the last two years. I only saw 8 of those released in 2009, and I've only seen 2 so far this year. So, I could generally care less about a lot of film-related news. These days, unless its based off a comic book or its a "triple-F" (family-friendly film), I usually wind up skipping it...and even some in those 2 categories get skipped once in a while. I'm rather sorry to say this, but in truth I've lost a lot of the respect and admiration I once had for the film industry at large. There's so much garbage on screens now, that finding anything truly worthwhile has become a rarity unto itself. The only remaining films I'm looking forward to this year are "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and "Tron Legacy".
