Messing with gamestop employees! - Blu-ray Forum

So I went into gamestop today to pick up my reserved copy of mario galaxy and also to reserve assassin's creed for my ps3. The counter guy asks me if I want to reserve assassin's creed for ps3 or xbox 360. I said, "XBOX? Hell no, I dont want an inferior product! I hate the xbox. Down with HD-DVD!".

He then muttered something about how ps3 sucks (obviously he was an xbox owner). I told him blu-ray is the better choice and he needs to quit supporting inferior products.

He wasn't too happy, but I found the whole thing quite amusing.

lol ya, they cant argue back. You could walk in there and say anything you want, its kinda like those british guards that cant move.

Fanboys in general are really a touchy bunch, doesn't matter if there Xbox Fanboys or PS3 Fanboys. Same goes for Blu-ray and HD-DVD or anything else for that matter.

My favorite thing is messing with HD DUD or M$ supporters. Especially since I go in looking like I don't know the difference. If they happen to be a DUD supporter I literally unleah hell on them with why I would never buy such an inferior format and I don't appreciate being lied into wasting my money!

Its amazing the crap some people spew to push their system. I went into an EB games to reserve rock band for the ps3 and the guy told me he saw one(ps3) burst into flames at his friends house. It was an obvious ploy to talk bad about the ps3 becuase his tone was so arrogant when he said "you better get a fire extinguisher with your rock band." After talking to him with great skepticism I think he started to realize what an ass he looked like in front of my wife and I after I said I leave it on for days with the folding program running. Oh well what do you expect from a Micro*****.

Sounds to me like the purchaser at Gamestop was pretty immature.

The kid behind the counter has to ask which game console title you want because the client was not clear enough with his request to begin with.

It was an ambush at best and weak at that.

You don't need to set up (any store) employees to get at them. Just let them talk and then it becomes all too easy.

Also, if you are over 25 years old and you ever stepped foot into any video game store, you are probably pretty creepy yourself.

I'm sure the guy making 7 bucks an hour at Gamestop has a vested interest in your politics, much less an appreciation for either HD-DVD or Blu-ray. I really don't understand people's desire to harass total strangers.

I went in to a Game Stop many months ago just after the PS3 was released in the US. A friend of mine and I went to ask questions about it. We asked the person behind the counter and his immediate response was "It's a piece of crap, the colors fade after time." My friend and I were surprised by his answer but knew he was full of crap and asked him more questions to further prove he was insane. We have since been making fun of this instance and never take anything a Game Stop employee says for granted.
