Default Most Underated PS3 Game? [Opinion Topic]

Yup, posing the question to the gamers out there. what have you played on ps3 that you think just didn't get the hype it deserved.

I gotta go with Folklore:

or The Darkness:

2 different types of games that came out early on, that i thought earned there places in my collection... with 0 trophies my replayability is next to none but i enjoyed them while i had them and was enthralled in the stories told.

Word.

I, for one, enjoyed it despite some graphical bugs and frame rate issues. This is probably one hell of a deal for $20 if you ask me.

MOONPHASE did you miss any games that have Japanese Cartoons?

My vote Uncharted: Drake Fortunes.. under 90 at gamerankings and metacritic is ridiculous, IMO the 2nd best game this generation.

I agree with The Darkness as well. It was a great play through (though I think it is one of those games you can only play through once really as it would be rather slow the second time.

I love the music of Folklore and the demo showed fun combat with a very cool art style. I never got a round to buying it, I need to do that!

Well if you mean like Japanese anime style games then well I didn't mention Atelier Rorona because I think it did really well in Japan(not sure about America yet). White Album(no relation to The Beatles) just came out so don't know how well that did but can't seem to find the limited edition anywhere. Neptune comes out next month. Clannad not sure when that's arriving but is a popular series. Didn't say the DBZ or the Naruto games, and many others.

I'd have to say Dark Sector.

A lot better than reviews showed.

Same for Dantes Inferno.

Completely agree with Dante's Inferno. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

I would pick Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. I felt it was fantastic, but many reviews were mediocre.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

Discovered that two weeks before RDR came out. pretty decent for one of the very, very few western themed games.

Good to hear that Folklore is good, my wife loved the demo and we have been waiting to get it cheap... Believe it or not I haven't been able to find it in store around me for less that $59.99 up to last week when Zellers moved it to the bargain bin for $20.

For me, most underrated is...

Folklore is very story driven.. and its pokemon type gameplay is very addicting

OP - when i looked at the name of this thread the first title that came to mind was Folklore

and then i clicked on the thread, and low and behold, the first picture is Folklore

a few other choices. i know the games aren't perfect, but i don't think they get played / talked about enough...

- Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (maybe because i love both franchises?)
- Demon's Souls (a very "indie" game with some very diehard fans but little else)
- Darksiders (most reviews seem to rip on it for taking elements from classic franchises... so that makes it bad? definitely disagree)

i'm going to add Heavenly Sword.

I don't know if it had much hype/success, but i never really heard much about it I just liked the look and gameplay when I bought it.

As with Xerios lack of trophies means not much replay, however it will always be one of my TOP PS3 games. I just loved everything about it, story, gameplay, graphics (for the time)

Eternal Sonata and Heavenly Sword.

Actually, I really wish I could find more games like Eternal Sonata.

I also loved Folklore. Dantes Inferno was good but not great.
