I saw this thread and my first thought, that's the damn price the BD should have been in the first place. im a huge fan of the series but this was over priced from the get go. It was like $350 msrp and $250 street. It's 73 eps the mini series and a made for tv movie. If theyd priced it $200 and sold it at $125 I would have bought it day one.

I was pretty excited when I first saw this and then noticed it was for DVD.

I don't spend any money on DVD's these days unless it's for a kids show that I can play in the car. Oh well, somewhere out there someone will be very happy to get this series on DVD for only $109 to play on their analog TV.

Also, don't get why you want to highlight a DVD deal on a site for fans of Blu-ray?

I too was going to hop on this until I realized it was the DVD version and not Blu...why was this even posted at all??

some folks are mad at amazon, why? try chatting with the OP for putting up the DVD version of the series. Yes, i understand, at a first glance folks were thinking blu-ray version but found out it's the DVD and since amazon sells DVD's too we shouldn't be mad at amazon. they didn't post this in a thread here.

I can definitely understand the frustration with many members; I too thought this was the Blu-ray version and got all

but keep in mind that DVDs DO play on Blu-ray players. Considering how expensive this set is regardless of 'version,' I think it was worth listing on the site.

It's a helpful post, and I'd rather be informed than clueless...any more than I usually am.
