10th anniversary edition is out today in the Netherlands.

Apparently it's got a brand new master (or so I'm told). I can't wait to pick it up after work.

Anyone here got it already?

I'm looking forward for this release,i hope they really used a new master print for the movie,it is indeed a classic and it deserves more,please share your viewing experience of the re-mastered blu-ray

A Dutch friend of mine said he called around but was unable to find it in stock anywhere. It might be a paper launch.

Let us know if it pops up somewhere.

Czech Republic actually got it last month, but I've been unable to confirm if it uses a better transfer: http://www.filmarena.cz/blu-ray-gladiator

Looks like all other scheduled releases for today are available, except Gladiator and Carlito's Way (the other disc I wanted to get today

Universal does this a lot actually. They keep changing the releasedates in Belguim and the Netherlands. I was looking forward to this and now I have to wait another week...

I'm starting to get suspicious as to whether this is a new transfer or not. The delays don't bode well. Look forward to your review.

Yeah I got an email from FRS that says it should be sometime next week when they get Gladiator from their suppliers. I hope they do.

Ofcourse I can't speak for the website (it's different from the stores) but I'm a manager in one of the many FRS-stores in the netherlands. I'm also looking foward to a new Gladiator-release, but our system (different system) doesn't seem to have a new release published ... so I'm wondering why not. Also, why would Universal Benelux releease a new version, and not in the rest of the world?

It seems to come out in some parts of the world. It was also announced in the press-release from Universal in june that it would come out on July 1th. I asked in the locale Media Markt and Saturn and they said it will be released on July 1th and now on July 8th. Also FRS has it on there website... I just hope it's a good release with a good PQ!

Bol.com also states it's a 1-disc release.

Frs states it's a 2-disc release.

I sure as hell hope it's not just a slightly cheaper re-release of disc 1 of the Sapphire version. I'm kinda thinking it is.

areadvd.de states it's exactly the same as the Sapphire edition but with a brand new HD-transfer (yes!) and Pocket-Blu integration as a bonus.

Only time will tell

I have spoken with Universal in Holland two weeks ago and they confirmed that it HAS a new transfer.
It would also have some new extra's the earlier version does not have.
