Got Live Free or Die Hard - Blu-ray Forum

I just returned home from vac and had to go pick up this weeks releases. To my surprise when I checked out the Blu display at BJ's Wholesale club (needed groceries also) they had Live Free or Die Hard there. I'm going to throw it in shortly to check it out, so I will let you know how it looks.

Side note, I also picked up Close Encounters of The Third and Prison Break season 1 on Blu. For some reason I was only charged $24.98 for Prison Break. I ALMOST feel bad!

Don't feel bad... feel GREAT! awesome price. I'd buy it at that price.

Let us know how the PQuality ranks with the other top BLu movies. I hear its very good.

Well, I just watched it and it's not as strong PQ as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but not POTC good or as good as most of the Fox releases lately. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but for a new movie I thought it would be a better transfer.

It just does not seem to have the depth or detail. It looks better in the daytime scenes, but overall I would give it a 4/5. I like the movie so either way I'm glad it's on Blu.

I don't have that one, but I did see the trailer on one of the other BD's I bought in the last few weeks. I remeber thinking how good the trailer looked and yet I did not see it as that strong watching the BD tonight.

Again, don't get me wrong, it's good, but like myself I think some may be a little disappointed.

I walked into BJ's Wholesale club today and there it was. I had plans on buying the box set, but since this was on the shelf today, I will buy the other 3 as singles when they come out. It will help with Nelson #'s anyway as singles.

Reviews are funny, some people said it's one of the best releases ever, and some say it's good but not the best. I'm sure I'll be satisfied though, I'm nto worried. I'll be watching the unrated DVD anyway for my first viewing, so after that the Blu-ray will be like a different film (literally, too). I need to invent something that will let me seamlessly branch between the Unrated DVD and the BD

They had some screenshots on AVS of DH and DHWAV, they looked wonderful.

I agree, not going to get a version without the yippe kayaa mother ****er. The wife agrees as well,but I've bought plenty of movies she didn't want.

I found Die Hard 2 Blu-Ray at Wal*Mart today.I looked around to see if they had any of the others,and could not find them.
