R:FOM vs. COD4

While I enjoyed the campaign in resistance, I would never buy a game for the campaign mode. I truly feel I got my moneys worth with R:FOM because of how much I play it online. For those of you who have both, which online game play do you prefer?

i had resistance fom but traded it in for assassins and im getting cod4 tomorrow.. i played COD4 online at my buddy's house and i find it much much better that rfom... i dont know why... its just more realistic... i get fragged every 3 seconds but its still more fun

I love COD4 online I just wish that they will fix the issues with the servers because I cant get connected until like 1 or 2 am central time. Rreesistance was fun as well but not as real looking.

so how do u trade in games....does gamestop do it............i wanna trade R6-vegas for COD4

i did mine at blockbuster and this give you shit for it... basically you trade it in for store credit...
RFOM got me 30$
Def Jam Icon got me 10$ (i know but i really didnt want it)
and i got like 15$ for 3 ps2 games

basically i got robbed but i didnt play any of these and didnt wanna wait it out on ebay so i said wtv and got the credit.

Call of Duty 4's multiplayer is way better than Resistance: Fall of Man's. I might even go so far to say that the single player campaign is better too, from a gameplay standpoint (can't really compare the stories since they're completely different).

Resistance online is much better. I think CoD4 is like every other fps game, it's not unique like Resistance. CoD4 online is horrible, IMO.

You can trade games at Gamestop but they don't give you shit. See what Blockbuster will give you for it too. When I traded in Fear and NBA 2K7 at Gamestop I only got $28 for both to go towards Assassin's Creed. Try Blockbuster as I said, you may get more there. Not only that but the used games at Gamestop are only $5 less than the new ones! What kind of crap is that?!

i can't believe anybody would get ride of Resistance. one of the best games ever with some of the best graphics and weapons ever. an awesome launch title and the PS3's flagship game. you toss it away like it is chopped liver. shame on you

FPS gives me motion sickness... COD4 is no different... it's more immersive though... resistance is still great regardless

Resistance is a good game. I especially love the first stage and all the other above ground levels. In terms of the underground / tunnel levels, I have mixed feelings because I don't enjoy being freightened or tensed. So, on one hand, I think it's good that it can make me feel tension in those stages. On the other, I don't like feeling tensed or freightended. But that's probably a part of the game design -- to feel less tensed and freightened once you master the weapons and your enemies.

I can't say much for COD4, since I haven't played it yet, even though it's been almost two weeks now since I had bought it.

I also like Resistance because it adds good variety to my game list. VARIETY that keeps me refreshed. If I play too many Dark gritty games like Resistance or Ninja Gaiden, I would switch to motorstorm or Ratcher for a few months. Before you know it, Resistance will start to look and feel brand new all over again, and vice versa. Variety keeps things fresh for me.

Traded in R:FOM also - picked up Rainbow 6-LV. I didn't mind fighting the Chimera but I prefer fighting someone with the same ability to die as you do - not to have super being powers. Then it all comes down to skill...
