This is rather disturbing news although it makes me not feel so bad about picking up Friday 4-8 on DVD just because I was too impatient to wait for the BD's. Not that I don't want them on BD but hey if DVD is all I can have then I guess I will learn to live with it.

You realize BoB is HBO films, not Paramount, right? Where's the news release saying it went OOP?

Titles of that popularity and prestige will eventually see Blu-ray, though it could be far in the future.

In fact Lionsgate have announced The Conversation for release on August 17th - but only on DVD. OK so this is slightly off topic as it's not a Blu-ray release, but does anyone know whether this will be a newly remastered version or will it just be a repackaging of the original Paramount DVD?

I noticed something weird going on with Paramount.

The two Martin & Lewis sets are out of print, as well as the Jerry Lewis box. They never DID get around to issuing all of those films, and now the ones they DID issue are gone! Good going, guys.

Anyone have a link to list of OOP Paramounts, by the way?

Not OOP, but repackaged, I have noticed that at least 2 titles have new artwork, they are:

The Manchurian Candidate
We Were Soldiers

Also, two older Paramount blu titles in my collection: "World Trade Center" and "U2 Rattle and Hum" have a silver band that say's "Paramount High Definition" on them.

Stupid Paramount where their paramount labels on barebone dvd releases don't even match. I managed to buy the last copy of Barbarella (oop) off futureshop.ca's website and when I put it next to my other paramount dvd title, Flight Of The Intruder, the spine artwork positioning doesn't match at all.

No but I like to have the shelf try and flow nicely and similar company titles should match. I like having a nice looking shelf. I even took the slip covers off my blu-rays that had them so that my blu-rays all look nice together and match what with the translucent blue top.

That coming from the guy that outnumbers my blu-ray collection 365-8. Even if I pool in my dvd's I'm still over 300 short.

Not sure what you're getting at, but yes I do have 365 BD items or 415 titles.

Oh my bad. The defintion of OCD really doesn't match what I thought it meant. So after properly educating myself, I just like a nice presentation and no I don't go around constantly reorganizing or onsessing over the aethetic appeal of the shelf.
