A fantastic director. His death at the age of 54 (hemorrhage after surgery) was tragic, but he left behind several amazing films. And he made Jude Law a star!

I've only seen one of his films, Mr. Wonderful. I liked it.

You should see The English Patient and The Talented Mr. Ripley; both are tremendous.

I went with The English Patient, although Cold Mountain is close behind for me.
